The RTS (Swiss radio&television) records jazz concerts with a public audience at their “Studio15” in Lausanne – a wonderful way to enjoy local and international jazz musicians in an intimate environment. Concerts are radio broadcast on weekend jazz and blue-note programs.
As well as the great music, we of course can gather some visual tips for recording as well – microphones and their positions for the different instruments used for example.
Our first visit: the Enrico Pieranunzi trio (piano, double bass, drums)
and the latest experience: two concerts back-to-back with up to eight musicians – piano, drums, vibraphone, guitar(s), bass, trumpet, saxophone(s).
The musicians are from the HEMU (Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne) “ateliers du professeurs Matthieu Michel et Jean-François Baud”. In our humble opinion: really excellent.
This concert was broadcast on the RTS Sunday program, 21st October 2018.
