Les Brenets

A day trip to Les Brenets – a long train journey for friends from Zurich — followed by a high path walk, a backpack pic-nick, and a boat ride return to the tiny railway station.
The resulting clip is not worthy of a web page under the heading of “Kultour”, but considering the spontaneity of the capture plus a little post-magic, the results are quite decent.
Les Brenets (not to be confused with Lac Brenet next to the Lac de Joux) is located in Le Locle. Key focus of the video is the “Lac des Brenets” on the Doubs River which forms the Swiss/French border. (We did not reach the nearby waterfall, “Le Saut du Doubs”).

2018 update:  we were sad to see the impact of global warming on the state of this lake in 2018 – the water level reported as SEVEN METERS BELOW the usual level such that these boats are now stranded on the bed – the crews were laid off as a result. Water level conditions have returned to normal as of 2019/2020.
