In 2023, Switzerland loses one place in the European ranking in terms of LGBTQIA+ rights and finds itself 20th.

For this 2025 edition, Geneva Pride has reviewed its demands with regard to the advancement of laws and the rights of LGBTQIA+ people. Budapest, Hungary: Geneva Pride organizers expected 30,000 – actual might have been a bit lower as it was cloudy and a holiday weekend (Pentecost), but check out what happened 3 weeks later in Budapest (photo below) starting with a similar initial expectation then crowds of 180 – 200,000 turned up !! We pray there will be no reprisals from the Hungarian government but it was the most beautiful message for LGBTIQ+, more importantly for democracy and rights.
