Cathedral – Christian Unity

Ever since the big schisms in the Church (split of East and West Orthodoxy, the Reformation) Christian Churches have struggled with how to re-kindle the Christian Unity which Jesus himself and Saint Paul called upon us to build our faith upon.
The Lutherans and Catholics are working since twenty years and the World Council of Churches invited Pope Francis to Geneva for their 70th anniversary. Much work is being done and real results are being obtained, but the road is not easy.
One small step is of public declarations together – here, a Lutheran and a Catholic presenting a common sermon in the Geneva Cathedral for the week of Christian Unity.
